It is challenging to begin a conversation about a topic that is so broadly misunderstood. The word technology is associated with only a small fraction of its expansive definition, being most readily connected to its most modern forms. Computers, laptops, the internet, cell phones, tablets and other small, wireless, electronic devices generally take primary focus; but there are so many more types of technology. Webster's definition of technology actually states that technology is: "the use of science in industry, engineering, etc., to invent useful things or to solve problems". This alludes to the idea that technology can actually be very simple, so long as
it extends the user's ability to accomplish a task. There are hundreds of technologies being used in schools, justas there always has been. From computers and projectors, to books, pencils and even old-fashioned white boards - all these tools aid in the education of the students.
